Intelect wins the North East Best Employer Award

Company Secretary and Director John Thompson from the company accepted the honour at the National Rail Museum in York which was held on Tuesday 4th November 2014.

John Thompson said “We are absolutely thrilled to be even considered for such an award, we have a very strong belief in the apprenticeship scheme and have done so since we started the company 17 years ago. Our motto has always be train to retain, we find it so difficult to recruit, therefore we train our own and it works”.

Over the last seventeen years Intelect has shown continuous commitment to its apprentices and trained over seventy apprentices. The company’s electrical apprentice Matthew Lynch was also at the ceremony to accept a certificate for being a finalist to become the apprentice of the year. Matthew was in the final 8 of over one thousand apprentices to be chosen for the award.

Intelect has also been invited along with six other regional winners to contest for the title of JTL National Employer of the year, the result of which will be announced at a ceremony taking place at Drapers Hall in the city of London on Wednesday 25th February 2015.
