Our Level 2 Accountancy apprenticeship is a one year course, which includes training one day a week at Middlesbrough College.

This role requires the candidate to provide full commitment to a 40-hour week.

Role Details

The accounts apprentice will be responsible for supporting the wider team, and will report to the accounts manager. They will liaise with customers and suppliers on a daily basis, and will process account records and taxi returns.

A competent phone manner would be advantageous to enable the candidate to deal with regular telephone calls. They will also support with book keeping and will use platforms such as Sage daily.

All apprentices will be provided with their own uniform. They will also receive additional on-going training to compliment their role.

Starting rate for the first year of the apprenticeship will be £6.40 per hour, however this will increase on a yearly basis in line with our apprentice pay structure – this will be discussed with candidates at the interview stage.

Candidate Details

We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 4 for English and Maths required.
  • Driving licence advantageous.
  • Previous work experience desirable but not essential.
  • Good attendance and timekeeping.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • A positive attitude.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Working Hours

40 hours per week

Monday – Friday 08:00-16:30

There are plenty of opportunities for overtime and weekend work may also be required.
