Our Level 3 Welding apprenticeship is a three-year course, which includes training at Middlesbrough College for the first two years.

Role Details

The apprentice will be responsible for supporting our pipefitters, welders and other tradespeople to deliver projects safely and on time, and will be involved in all aspects of pipework, using a variety of pipe and metal work.

All apprentices will be provided with their own uniform, PPE, and fully equipped tool box. They will also receive additional on-going training, covering various aspects of health and safety to ensure they have the latest knowledge and information to hand.

Starting rate for the first year of the apprenticeship will be £6.40 per hour, however this will increase on a yearly basis in line with our electrical apprentice pay structure – this will be discussed with candidates at the interview stage.

Candidate Details

We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 4 for English and Maths required.
  • Driving licence advantageous.
  • Previous work experience desirable but not essential.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Reliable, good punctuality, honest and trust worthy.
  • Motivated to learn and advance.
Working Hours

37.5 hours per week

Monday – Thursday 08:00-16:30

Friday 08:00-13:30

There are plenty of opportunities for overtime and weekend work may also be required.
