In July 2022 Intelect were chosen by Quorn, Methwold to survey an existing roof void in one of their factories.
The factory was built within an old World War 2 Aircraft Hangar, which had no documented drawing information. The survey was required to determine if the overall structure was suitable to support current and future services and activities, and was conducted with our 3D Scanner to produce the below Pointcloud image.
The survey data was then drawn by the design team to create 2D plan, documenting the roof supports, pipework and services and pointing out any key areas of concern. The 2D plans were then used for verification.
