Intelect and Zoe’s Place Join Forces in New Charity Partnership

Intelect are proud to announce their latest charity partnership with local baby hospice, Zoe’s Place – a collaboration which was driven by Intelect’s work force at their Middlesbrough branch.

Voted by Intelect’s employees as the companies Charity of Choice for 2024, Zoe’s Place cares for babies and young children with life-limiting, life-threatening or complex conditions.

Opened in 2004, and celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, their Middlesbrough hospice provides respite, end of life care and palliative care for babies, infants and children from across Teesside and the wider North East region.

As a company that was founded and grown on Teesside, Intelect are committed to giving back to their local community, investing in a wide variety of partnerships, sponsorships and initiatives that focus on improving and benefitting the local area.

Lily Brothwood, Business Operations Manager at Intelect said, “We’re delighted to be supporting Zoe’s Place as our latest Charity of Choice. Community collaboration is an integral part of our business, and it’s even more valuable when it’s driven by our team, as we know it’s something they’re passionate about supporting.”

“We’re looking forward to developing our partnership with Zoe’s Place, helping to ensure that they can continue providing invaluable services to young children and their families during times of unimaginable hardship.

“We’ve already supported some of our staff with signing up to a number of initiatives in aid of Zoe’s Place, including events like the Great North Run, which not only positively impacts the charity, but is also great for supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees too, something else which we think is vital.”

Ashleigh Wood, Corporate Fundraiser at Zoe’s Place spoke more about the impact these types of partnerships can have, she said, “In our milestone 20th year, the unwavering support from our business community remains vital and echoes as loud as it did in our early days. The team at Intelect, by choosing us as their charity of choice this year, enable us to be a lifeline for families, often during their toughest times. This kind of commitment enables our care teams to continue their vital work, helping children and their families to celebrates life’s small yet precious moments.

Zoe’s Place six-bedroom hospice has a state-of-the-art sensory room, soft play, outdoor play area and garden, and supports around 46 young children and their families every year.
