
Intelect announces Corporate Partnership with Teesside Hospice
Intelect UK and Intelect Mechanical are proud to announce a Corporate Partnership with Teesside Hospice, a charity that provides invaluable support to local people and their families who have been affected by terminal illness.
Having been based in Teesside for 25 years, engineering company, Intelect are delighted to be joining forces with such an important local charity, who make a huge difference to people’s lives, at a time when they need it most.
This year, employees at Intelect were asked to vote for the charity who they would like to see as the companies Charity of Choice for 2022, which saw Teesside Hospice come out on top and receive a £5,000 donation.
Intelect’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Lily Brothwood, was thrilled to break the good news to Anne Cooling, Head of Corporate Development, and Katie Sadler, Fundraiser, when they visited the company’s site in Middlesbrough last week.
Lily said, “It was fantastic to be able to break the news to Anne and Katie following a tour of our site and a meet and greet with some of our employees last week. The fact that the decision fell to our employees made it even more special, as it gives them the opportunity to have their say and support charities close to their own hearts.”
Anne Cooling, Head of Corporate Development at Teesside Hospice said, “It was wonderful to meet the directors and staff at Intelect and to see their genuine delight when it was announced that Intelect are supporting Teesside Hospice as Corporate Partners.
“This level of support makes a real difference to the Hospice and we cannot be more pleased to be working with the Intelect team. The increasing demand for consultant led, specialist level hospice care, makes this announcement of support from Intelect especially welcome to everyone here at Teesside Hospice, thank you.”
Intelect Managing Director, Fran Cormican said, “Both Intelect and Teesside Hospice have been part of the landscape of Teesside for many years, and this year, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary as a business, we are extremely proud to be able to come together to form our Corporate Partnership.
He continued, “Over the years, many of our employees, myself included, have received support from the Hospice, whether that be directly or indirectly, so we’re very pleased to be supporting them as they continue to be a pillar of the Teesside community.”
Alongside their support of Teesside Hospice, Intelect are also a Corporate Partner of the High Tide Foundation, who provide life changing work experience programmes and opportunities to the young people of Teesside.
