Intelect Celebrates 200,000 Hours Without a Lost Time Incident Across Major Projects

Intelect has reached a significant safety milestone, achieving more than 200,000 working hours without a Lost Time Incident (LTI) across two of its major live projects.

The achievement highlights the company’s continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and operational excellence, while delivering complex engineering and construction programmes safely and efficiently.

The milestone reflects the dedication and professionalism of Intelect’s workforce, subcontractors and supply chain partners, and reinforces the company’s reputation as a trusted delivery partner for major industrial projects across the UK.

Fran Cormican, Managing Director at Intelect, said “Reaching 200,000 hours without a Lost Time Incident is an outstanding achievement and one that everyone involved should be incredibly proud of.

“Safety isn’t simply a target or a statistic for us – it’s fundamental to how we work. Delivering projects safely requires planning, communication and a culture where every individual takes responsibility for themselves and those around them.

“This milestone is a reflection of the professionalism and commitment shown by our teams and partners every single day.”

With capabilities spanning engineering, construction, project management, automation and commissioning, Intelect continues to support clients across a range of sectors through complete turnkey project delivery.

As projects continue to increase in scale and complexity, the company has invested heavily in its people, processes and systems to ensure health and safety remains at the forefront of every stage of delivery.

To recognise the achievement, employees involved across both projects came together for various celebratory events, acknowledging the collective effort that has contributed to reaching the 200,000-hour milestone.

In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, Intelect also made a £500 donation to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, the company’s charity of choice, helping to support the vital care and services provided to children and families across the region.

Fran added, “”Whilst we’re proud of the milestone itself, it’s equally important to recognise the people behind it. Achievements like this are only possible because of the commitment shown by everyone involved.

“We also wanted to mark the occasion in a way that gives something back to the community. Zoe’s Place holds a special place within the business and we’re pleased to be able to support the incredible work they do for families across the North East.”

Ashleigh Ennion, Senior Corporate & Major Donor Fundraiser at Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, said “We are incredibly grateful to Intelect for their generous donation. As a charity that relies so heavily on the kindness and support of our community, donations like this really do mean so much to us and make such a big difference to the children and families who rely on our vital care and support. On behalf of everyone at Zoe’s Place, thank you for helping us make every moment count.”

Ryan Cormican, Senior Project Engineer at Intelect, added “Our clients are looking for partners who can manage complexity, maintain programme certainty and, above all, deliver projects safely.

“Reaching 200,000 LTI-free hours simultaneously across two major projects demonstrates the strength of our safety culture and the standards that are embedded throughout the business. As we continue to grow, maintaining those standards will remain our highest priority.”

As Intelect continues to expand its operations, the company remains committed to developing its people, supporting local supply chains and delivering projects that create long-term value for clients, communities and industry.
