Northumbrian Water Telemetry Outstation

Back in 2022, we were proud to secure a long-term framework agreement with Northumbrian Water, a partnership that spans more than 20 years and continues to grow stronger today.

Over the years, we’ve worked closely together to deliver electrical and mechanical solutions across a wide range of projects throughout the region.

Most recently, we were asked to restore a sewage treatment works Telemetry Outstation after it was vandalised, leaving a critical asset requiring urgent action. Temporary monitoring arrangements and 24-hour security measures were put in place by Northumbrian Water while a replacement telemetry outstation was sourced.

Our team carried out detailed cable surveys to identify and label damaged wiring before rebuilding the chassis plate in our workshop at our Middlesbrough branch. Northumbrian Water provided the replacement radio and telemetry equipment and inspected the rebuilt assembly prior to installation.

Once on site, we refitted the chassis plate and terminated the existing cables, working collaboratively with Northumbrian Water and IDEC to complete testing and commissioning.

The Telemetry Outstation is now fully operational, restoring off-site visibility and helping to ensure the sewage treatment works can operate more efficiently and compliantly.
